A+ Invitational Meets and Tournaments

The UIL does not mandate school organizations for A+ districts. We are providing meet information below to give UIL coordinators a starting point if necessary when searching for A+ participation in their area. The meet directors listed below are under no obligation from the UIL State Office to include additional schools in their A+ district.

We will offer the following traditional UIL events for middle school students: Calculator, Chess Puzzle, Editorial Writing, Impromptu speaking, math, modern oratory, number sense, oral reading, ready writing, science, social studies, and spelling. Additionally, we will offer the following high school events for grades 6 - 8 participation: Current Issues and Events, Feature Writing, Informative/Persuasive Extemporaneous Speaking, News Writing, Original Oratory, Poetry, and Prose. Registration will take place through Speechwire (speechwire.com) and will be posted there by September 1 if not sooner.
