One-Act Play: High School ZONE/DISTRICT Contest Official Meet Authorization Request 2024-25

One-Act Play: High School ZONE/DISTRICT Contest Official Meet Authorization Request 2024-25

This form is for HIGH SCHOOL ZONE and/or DISTRICT contests only.

If you are managing more than one zone/district contest, you will need to submit an additional request form.

PLEASE CHECK YOUR MEET DESIGNATIONS CAREFULLY AND THOROUGHLY. The 2024-25 contest year is under a new alignment.

For reference, the 2024-25 Academic alignments are posted on the UIL theatre homepage, www.uiltexas.org/theatre

When looking at the alignments, you will need to navigate to the specific conference enrollment (i.e. 3A). Once you open the posted PDF, you can see the district designation for all participating schools in that conference.

UIL does not designate zone assignments.

As outlined in the Guide for Contest Managers (www.uiltexas.org/theatre/oap-handbook/guide-for-contest-managers-the-contest): "When nine or more schools are participating in a district contest, the district executive committee (DEC) should divide the district into zones. Zone alignments shall be be determined by a blind draw or be geographical to reduce travel. No other methods shall be used. The League discourages zoning with eight or less schools."

Middle School / Junior High One-Act Play contests DO NOT require meet official authorization.
