In four of the 5 years I have coached, I have brought at least one speaker to state. I have coached speakers participating in Prose at state in both 2016, 2nd place, and 2017 4th place. I have advanced in Informative Speaking as well. I also attend at least 5 invitational meets per season with my teams and judge 1A to 6A. As an elementary teacher turned District librarian I have been actively involved in UIL Speech of some sort my entire career. I have also coached Oral Reading for 17 years and Modern Oratory and Impromptu Speaking for 6 years. As a librarian one of my most favorite things to do is find new literature to share. I am storyteller at heart and love to watch students do this through Interp and Extemp.
