Judging qualifications:
I began judging debate during this TFA season, but I have 4 years of experience in judging and competing in speech. Prose and poetry were by far my favorite events because of the passion the students put into their presentations. It's truly special to see their interpretations of an artist's work come to life.

Philosophy:
Using a speech perspective, I look for the side they can create a better argument and defense than the other. I leave my beliefs at the door to give and unbiased judging experience that the students can hopefully get valuable knowledge from.
