Judging qualifications:
I consider myself an open-minded person who is open to all kinds of different debate styles/arguments. I'm fine with speed, but I do put an emphasis on making arguments that are well-rounded and thought out. I personally believe that the value of debate is derived from strong competition and free-thinking ideas. I would never fault anyone for arguing "outside of the box"-type arguments, and I believe that any case that is argued well is worth understanding and arguing.
On the speech front- I am fine with anything, too (within rules).
Judging Philosophy
CX
Judging approach: Tabula Rasa
Policy priority: Communication skills and resolution of substantive issues are of equal importance
Evidence philosophy: Quantity of evidence and quality of evidence are of equal importance
Paradigm: I'm fine with any kind of arguments. I will weigh things as they are argued that they should be. I am ok with speed, but I want to be able to understand what is being said. I will say "clear" once.
