Policy priority: Communication skills and resolution of substantive issues are of equal importance
Evidence philosophy: Quality of evidence is more important than quantity of evidence
Paradigm: Argue evidence you have or are presented with. Nothing too off topic, but if it is be sure to back it up. Speed is essential but if it becomes a jumble of words then speaker points drop.

Policy and persuasion are good starters. Being confident. backing up evidence throughout rounds is what I like to see.
