Leveraging supportive stakeholders to provide training and support to myself as the Head Coach, as well as the Assistant Coaches, and Debaters. My philosophy is that students should remain poised, confident, knowledgeable, and most importantly objective during their debate rounds. This should guide their focus in preparation as well. I've judged three Tournaments within our Circuit so far this Season.
Judging Philosophy
CX
Judging approach: Policy Maker
Policy priority: Resolution of substantive issues is more important than communication skills
Evidence philosophy: Quantity of evidence and quality of evidence are of equal importance
Paradigm: Well construction of thought and speech that eliminates ambiguity for both the Debaters and the Judge. The ability to remain objective so as to not become distracted by their opponents tactics. And providing evidence that hits directly towards either supporting or refuting their argument.
