Coached for 30 years at Garland High School and retired from Southlake Carroll. Had numerous state finalists in UIL, along with State Champion. There is a distinct difference between UIL competitors and TFA style and am willing I understand the difference.

Approach: Communication skills and resolution of substantive issues are of equal importance
Philosophy:
LD should be a communicative event using argumentation of the substantive issues with strong supporting evidence of your argument. More rounds are won in strong refutation than in straight offense. Must be able to think quickly on your feet by using logical reasoning.
