Judging qualifications:
I believe that public speaking, presentation, and competition are vital to all who participate, coach and judge. So many life skills and knowledge are are garnered from these speaking events. As a judge, it never ceases to amaze me the amount of research, practice and delivery students must go through to compete. And all the aforementioned builds character and confidence in each and every student.
I have spent countless years teaching skill sets in speech, coaching speaking events, and judging. I am presently a UIL OAP adjudicator and now have returned to judging speech. I am also a speech and OAP consultant. I give my time to students needing to build confidence and skills for competition and classroom/public speaking.
I look forward each year to competitions as I watch these participants blossom into prospering and knowledgeable young adults.
Speech is vital in life.
May this type of event and competition continue to thrive in our schools!
