I participated in informative speaking throughout high school and advanced to regionals my junior and senior years. I competed in cx debate in high school and placed third in district my sophomore year. I really enjoyed the world of politics and speech. It’s a wonderful skill to learn and I’d love to be able to help any kids today with that skill.

Judging Philosophy

CX

Rounds judged: 0
Judging approach: Policy Maker
Policy priority: Communication skills and resolution of substantive issues are of equal importance
Evidence philosophy: Quality of evidence is more important than quantity of evidence
Paradigm: My Paradigm as a cx judge would be keeping an organized flow of arguments. Do not leave an argument behind. Use up all the time you’re given even if it is to just re affirm any arguments or counters. Road maps are nice. Organization is an important key factor. Use prep time it’s there for a reason. Speak clear and loud and look at your opponents when delivering arguments or countering.
