Judging Philosophy

CX

Rounds judged: 1
Judging approach: Tabula Rasa
Policy priority: Communication skills and resolution of substantive issues are of equal importance
Evidence philosophy: Quality of evidence is more important than quantity of evidence
Paradigm: I prefer evidence over pragmatic analysis. I don’t like to waste time on topicality and I can’t stand kritiks. Don’t assume that I see anything; if someone drops something, point it out. I flow what I hear and understand. If I don’t hear it or understand, it doesn’t get written down. If it doesn’t get written down, it doesn’t count for me. Diction is one of the most important things for me. Project your voice and speak clearly.

LD

Rounds judged: 0
Approach: Communication skills and resolution of substantive issues are of equal importance
Philosophy:
I don’t know as much about LD debate so I would most likely still stick with my basic philosophy for CX, which is listed above.
