Judging Philosophy
CX
Judging approach: Tabula Rasa
Policy priority: Resolution of substantive issues is more important than communication skills
Evidence philosophy: Quality of evidence is more important than quantity of evidence
Paradigm: I will listen to any argument as long as there is a warrant and framing for how it should effect my ballot. You have to have offense to win the round. I will vote for potential abuse on T as long as there is an impact.
LD
Approach: Resolution of substantive issues is more important than communication skills
Philosophy:
The Criterion should be able to achieve the value. Always weigh your value/criterion against your opponents and have warrants as to why I should prefer you.
