Judging Philosophy

CX

Rounds judged: 3
Judging approach: Policy Maker
Policy priority: Communication skills and resolution of substantive issues are of equal importance
Evidence philosophy: Quality of evidence is more important than quantity of evidence
Paradigm: I am a flow judge who evaluates arguments based on the proper warranting, analysis, and contextualization that is given to me throughout the entire round. I am open to listening to most all arguments as long as they are implicated in the round. I look for specificity, warranting, and impacted arguments.

I am a flow judge who evaluates arguments based on the proper warranting, analysis, and contextualization that is given to me throughout the entire round. I am open to listening to most all arguments as long as they are implicated in the round. I look for specificity, warranting, and impacted arguments. In LD, I appreciate a framework debate that interacts with the opponent's framework. Give me reasons to prefer your framework over your opponents'. I'm good with most of the basic K literature but that doesn't mean you shouldn't warrant out the K.
