Judging Philosophy
CX
Judging approach: Tabula Rasa
Policy priority: Communication skills and resolution of substantive issues are of equal importance
Evidence philosophy: Quantity of evidence and quality of evidence are of equal importance
Paradigm: I prefer a regulated order of the flow, with sign-posting and a clear statement of cards and responses to the cards/arguments of the opponent. I am partial to philosophical hypotheticals and as well as pragmatic applications of Plans in the context of the given cards.
LD
Approach: Communication skills and resolution of substantive issues are of equal importance
Philosophy:
LD is my specialty. I am an experienced LD-er and expect debaters to adapt to the environment of debate that their opponents present them with. I expect turns, a clear and heavy emphasis on V/C arguments and a brief and concise summary of how I should vote at the end of the round.
