Judging Philosophy
CX
Judging approach: Tabula Rasa
Policy priority: Resolution of substantive issues is more important than communication skills
Evidence philosophy: Quality of evidence is more important than quantity of evidence
Paradigm: the round is decided on impact calculus however I will not make the links for you. I am tabula rasa, but all claims presenter need to be warranted. I don’t buy arguments simply because you have a card for it.
LD
Approach: Resolution of substantive issues is more important than communication skills
Philosophy:
I’m a framework judge. No plans, no disads. I want a value debate not a policy debate.
