I have judged a lot of LD,CX,and extemp I competed in all debate events in High School, I competed at UIL CX state twice in High school.
Judging Philosophy

Judging approach: Stock Issues
Policy priority: Communication skills and resolution of substantive issues are of equal importance
Evidence philosophy: Quantity of evidence and quality of evidence are of equal importance
Paradigm: do the work for the judge. If you do not tell me what to extend/flow then I have no way of knowing what you are going to argue. Do not spread, debate is about communication and it is pretty hard to communicate when you are talking at 100+words per minute.
LD
Approach: Communication skills and resolution of substantive issues are of equal importance
Philosophy:
Do not just tell me your value at the beginning of the round and just not address it again, tell me why your framework solves the issue at hand. LD is about values so make sure you carry it through out the round. Do the work for the judge and don't spread.
