Judging Philosophy

CX

Rounds judged: 12
Judging approach: Tabula Rasa
Policy priority: Communication skills and resolution of substantive issues are of equal importance
Evidence philosophy: Quantity of evidence and quality of evidence are of equal importance
Paradigm: I'm a tabula rasa judge. I'm open to pretty much anything, I enjoy a good T debate and good case arguments are fun. I also enjoy K's, try to stay away from the super niche arguments that require high theory and are arguments in and of themselves(psychoanalysis, schizoanaylsis,) i.e. if you don't fully understand it, don't run it. I don't want to discourage you from running K's they can make for a really good debate, but know the argument before you run it

LD

Rounds judged: 8
Approach: Communication skills and resolution of substantive issues are of equal importance
Philosophy:
I am a tabula rasa judge, I am a fan of both traditional and progressive LD. Regardless, you need to have a strong framework. I can follow pretty much any argument, but you need to a strong framework and adapt it to your case.
