Judging Philosophy
CX
Judging approach: Tabula Rasa
Policy priority: Resolution of substantive issues is more important than communication skills
Evidence philosophy: Quality of evidence is more important than quantity of evidence
Paradigm: I view the round through an offense/defense paradigm with the basic stock issues being assumed within the offense/defense engagement in the round. That being said, aside from those issues I am a tab judge and will evaluate the round with that basic paradigm being applied to how the debaters tell me to evaluate or frame the round.
