Judging Philosophy
CX
Judging approach: Tabula Rasa
Policy priority: Resolution of substantive issues is more important than communication skills
Evidence philosophy: Quality of evidence is more important than quantity of evidence
Paradigm: I am a policy making judge but I am good with all arguments. By the end of the round I will evaluate the debate based on both teams offense and defense. Impact calculus is a very important factor in my decision but should not stop at just the impact level, you should also talk about how the affs risks of solvency should weigh into the probability of the aff or the neg solving their impacts. Your final speeches should answer arguments of course but it should also write my ballot for me describing the world of the negative and the world of the affirmative and what they might look like.
