Judging Philosophy
CX
Judging approach: Policy Maker
Policy priority: Communication skills and resolution of substantive issues are of equal importance
Evidence philosophy: Quantity of evidence and quality of evidence are of equal importance
Paradigm: Not a regular CX judge.
LD
Approach: Communication skills and resolution of substantive issues are of equal importance
Philosophy:
I competed in LD two years of my high school debate career and regularly have helped consult with local students competing in LD debate. I weigh both persuasion and substantive issues but tend to weigh substantive issues a bit more heavily. I also think that framework and values matter a lot in LD so I like to see a good value and Value criterion.
