Judging qualifications:
I competed in speech and debate for 4 years while in high school and was also the President of my school's team. I competed in OO and Informational OO at NIETOC 3 times, DX at NSDA and placed at UIL state, Congressional Debate at NFL for two years placing at the semi-finals, and have performed FX, LD, CX, and Interp. I have additionally judged for several years after graduating high school. I judged at least 10 tournaments a year from 2016-2019 in nearly every single event. I prefer judging Congressional Debate, OO, and DX/LX since those are events I consistently placed during my high school career; however, LD/CZX debate is one I have judged most often due to quantity of judges needed and love to judge it.

Judging Philosophy

CX

Rounds judged: 0
Judging approach: Policy Maker
Policy priority: Resolution of substantive issues is more important than communication skills
Evidence philosophy: Quality of evidence is more important than quantity of evidence
Paradigm: 1. Sources are key and at the very least have a couple to backup claims. 2. I opt to the side that is able to prove their argument has the greatest good to the greatest amount of people while not dropping any of the opponents arguments.
