Judging qualifications:
I participated in speech and debate throughout my high school career. My sophomore year I mainly did extemporaneous speaking, and attempted policy debate. My junior and senior years I participated in both policy debate and extemp, and I also experimented with PF debate. I went to nationals in extemp sophomore year, nationals in PF junior year, nationals in CX senior year. I also competed in UIL CX state my junior and senior years. I'm a traditional judge when it comes to CX and I like STOCK issues, but I've witnessed a multitude of different types of judges and can work from whatever angle necessary.

Judging approach: Stock Issues
Policy priority: Communication skills and resolution of substantive issues are of equal importance
Evidence philosophy: Quality of evidence is more important than quantity of evidence
Paradigm: Traditional judge, I look for stock issues for a complete and realistic plan, and I am also looking for the best policy in general. I allow spreading as long as I receive a copy of the case so I can follow along. I value a respectful debate and expect everyone to behave in that manner.
