Judging Philosophy

CX

Rounds judged: 0
Judging approach: Stock Issues
Policy priority: Communication skills and resolution of substantive issues are of equal importance
Evidence philosophy: Quality of evidence is more important than quantity of evidence
Paradigm: My belief around CX Debate is that Affirmative must establish that their case adequately addresses the Stock Issues of the round; I look for the Affirmative to establish Significance (I consider Harms to be causal to the case's Significance and therefore, one and the same), Inherency and Solvency while remaining Topical to the resolution, and the Negative's burden is to disqualify the Affirmative's grounds by disproving the Significance, Inherency, Solvency or Topicality to the resolution.
