Judging Philosophy

CX

Rounds judged: 1
Judging approach: Stock Issues
Policy priority: Communication skills and resolution of substantive issues are of equal importance
Evidence philosophy: Quality of evidence is more important than quantity of evidence
Paradigm: I value the foundation of the stock issues and I base the strength of the case on those components. Speakers need to not only be able to understand their information, but also have the ability to efficiently explain it. Impact calc. plays a crucial role in obtaining my ballot. I need my debaters to tell me why I should care about what they are talking about. I love being able to present multiple arguments, but only if the quality of these arguments are strong. Speaking etiquette earns brownie points. Clash needs to be present in the rounds.
