Number of tournaments judged: 0

Graduated high school: 2017

Participated in college: No

Judging qualifications:
Most of my experience in debate has been LD. I also created my own short story and presented it at district. I also started shadowing prose/poetry for 1 year before I moved out of district. I started out doing doubles and my partner and I meshed very well despite our opposite personalities. In college, I judged for local mock trial events for high school. Occasionally, I get emails from local school districts and have judged at least 1 event over the past three years.

Judging Philosophy

CX

Rounds judged: 0
Judging approach: Policy Maker
Policy priority: Communication skills and resolution of substantive issues are of equal importance
Evidence philosophy:
Paradigm: hypothesis testing

LD

Rounds judged: 0
Approach: Communication skills are more important than resolution of substantive issues
Philosophy:
Delivery is most important given there is no partner to support claims. If a debater is confident in their resolution, I can better see myself in their shoes.
