Student Activity Conferences Begin in Fall; Tech SAC Rescheduled for September

Every year, the League offers four Student Activity Conferences across the state. At the conferences academic coaches, coordinators and their students can receive first-hand knowledge on how to prepare and hone their skills for the academic contests.
The SACs are free for students and teachers and are scheduled from 9 a.m to 1 p.m. on Saturdays.
Schools need to be aware, though, that one SAC date changed from information released this summer.
The Texas Tech SAC has been moved from Oct. 3 to Sept. 26. The original date was parent’s week at the university, and the hotels in Lubbock are already completely booked.
The 2009 SAC dates are as follows:
• University of North Texas, Denton — Sept. 19
• Texas Tech University, Lubbock — Sept. 26
• University of Texas, Austin — Oct. 17
• Sam Houston State University, Huntsville — Oct. 31
We hope you can join us for one of the SACs this year.
