Winningest UIL Softball Coach

Before the 4A semifinal game at the Softball State Championship, tournament director Sheila Henderson and athletic coordinator Peter Contreras recognize Waco Midway Coach Sherry Rogers as the winningest softball coach in UIL history. Rogers began coaching at Midway in 1993, when UIL added softball as an official League contest. Rogers will retire this year with a 486-91-8 record, with eight state tournament appearances. Midway won the 4A title this year.
