AUSTIN, TX- Two student athletes will remain ineligible for varsity athletics for the remainder of the 2006-07 school year, while two others gain eligibility due to decisions handed down by the State Executive Committee of the University Interscholastic League on Tuesday.

The committee denied appeals for varsity eligibility for student athletes from Cedar Park Vista Ridge and Anton High Schools for changing schools for athletic purposes.

Conversely, student athletes from Marble Falls High School and Lewisville Hebron High School are now eligible for varsity athletics.

In other action, an El Paso Parkland High School student athlete was ruled ineligible for participation in varsity basketball, but will be eligible for other varsity sports in the spring of 2007.
