UIL All-Century Softball Teams Announced

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

AUSTIN, TX— The University Interscholastic League, as part of its Centennial Celebration, has announced the UIL All-Century Softball Teams as selected by the fans. Fans cast more than 23,000 votes for their favorite softball players in Texas high school history.

For the past 100 years, UIL athletes have given fans some of the most memorable and exciting moments in sports. The UIL would like to recognize these outstanding performers as it celebrates a century of excellence.

The UIL All-Century Softball Teams as selected by the fans include:

First Team

Pitcher - Cat Osterman, Houston Cypress Springs

Pitcher - Jill Weynand, Frisco

Catcher - Morgan Anderson, Freeport Brazoswood

First Base - Karlie Harrell, Orange Little Cypress- Mauriceville

Second Base - Chelsea Malina, Shiner

Third Base - Megan Hoog, Castroville Medina Valley

Shortstop - Sara Williamson, Weatherford

Outfielder - Stephanie Richmond, San Antonio O'Connor
