AUSTIN, TX- The UIL Championship Football Game Committee that will determine logistical issues for the Conference 5A Division I and Division II championship football games for the 2006 and 2007 seasons has been selected.
The committee, appointed by the UIL Legislative Council Chairman, will meet at 9 a.m. on June 23 at the Austin Marriott at the Capitol to discuss logistical details of the Conference 5A championship football games for 2006 and 2007. The members of the UIL Championship Football Game Committee include the following:

Among the issues the UIL Championship Football Game Committee will determine are tickets, travel arrangements, game time, practice schedules and other details about the game. The UIL will work closely with the committee in selecting the venue for the games.
“We look forward to this opportunity of creating a new experience for the Conference 5A football championships,” said UIL Director of Athletics Dr. Charles Breithaupt. “We believe this is going to be a first-class experience for everyone involved. The championship game atmosphere we are trying to create is something that will be memorable to every person-from the coaches and players on the field to every spectator in the stands. We want everyone to walk away knowing that they have experienced the best in Texas high school football, and with the direction of this committee, we know that can be accomplished.”
