UIL Legislative Council Standing Committees to Meet

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

AUSTIN - The UIL Legislative Council Standing Committees on Academics, Athletics, and Policy will convene Tuesday, June 15 at the UIL office in Austin.  The standing committees are the first step in the process to add or change current UIL rules and policies.

The Academic Committee will convene at 9 a.m. in the second floor meeting room of the UIL office.  The Athletic Committee will convene at 8 a.m. in the first floor meeting room, and the Policy Committee will meet in the same room following the Athletic Committee at 1 p.m.

Scheduled to speak at the Athletic Committee meeting on Tuesday include representatives from the Texas High School Coaches Association, Texas Girls Coaches Association and the Texas High School Athletic Directors Association.

The Policy Committee will hear proposals regarding Reclassification and Realignment issues and adding new UIL activities.

All meetings are open to the public and all interested parties are invited to attend. The UIL office is located at 1701 Manor Road in Austin.
