AUSTIN, TX - Numerous high schools and school personnel were issued penalties by the State Executive Committee of the University Interscholastic League Wednesday for violation of UIL rules.
A former Red Oak High School coach was issued a public reprimand and one-year probation for violating the UIL Athletic Code and State Law by distributing, selling, or marketing dietary supplements to student athletes.
The State Executive Committee also issued a public reprimand, two years probation, and a two game suspension to a Pleasant Grove High School coach for verbal and physical abuse of a game official.
Byers High School, Dallas Townview School of Business, and North Houston High School for Business were all given a public reprimand and one-year probation for failure to participate in the 2003-04 One Act Play competition. The following schools were issued a public reprimand and a one-year suspension from One Act Play competition for the same offense: Broaddus High School, Houston Madison High School, and Wolfe City High School.
