AUSTIN, Texas — The State Executive Committee of the University Interscholastic League met Tuesday to hand down decisions on eligibility of student-athletes and issue penalties for UIL rule violations.
A student-athlete from Tuscola Jim Ned High School was granted an appeal for varsity eligibility. After hearing testimony from all parties, it was determined that this student did not change schools for athletic purposes.
A student-athlete from Dallas Madison High School was denied an appeal for varsity eligibility, upholding the previous ruling of the district executive committee.
Campbell High School Head Boys Basketball Coach Jason Crow was suspended for two games, placed on one-year probation, issued a public reprimand, and required to complete additional training for receiving an ejection while on probation.
River Oaks Castleberry High School Head Football Coach Juan Silva and Cranfills Gap High School Head Girls Basketball Coach Justin Graham were denied an appeal for an ejection from a contest and both were issued the automatic penalty of a public reprimand, one-year probation, and additional training.
