AUSTIN, Texas — The State Executive Committee of the University Interscholastic League met Monday to determine rules violations.
Former Cumberland Academy High School Athletic Director Mike Richardson was issued a one-year suspension from UIL Activities, a public reprimand, and additional training. Cumberland Academy High School Athletics was issued two years probation and a public reprimand.
Dallas Madison High School Head Boys Basketball Coach Damien Mobley was suspended for the first seven district games of the 2022-23 season and issued three years probation and a public reprimand. Dallas Madison High School was issued a public reprimand and two years probation. They are also required to forfeit three regular season games from the 2021-22 season for violating the UIL rule for maximum number of contests allowed.
Port Isabel High School Head Girls Basketball Coach Kyle DeMoss was granted an appeal for a coaching ejection.
Texas Leadership of Midland Head Boys Basketball Coach Lavius Taylor and Houston Nimitz High School Head Boys Basketball Coach Tigee Rideaux were both issued one-year probation, a public reprimand and additional training.
