AUSTIN, TX— The State Executive Committee of the University Interscholastic League met Tuesday, October 25 to hand down decisions on possible rules violations.
For violations of Section 409, Recruiting, San Marcos High School football was issued a one-year suspension from post district play for the 2023-2024 season. Additionally, San Marcos High School head football coach John Walsh was issued a five-game suspension and assistant football coach Lee Vallejo was issued a two-year suspension from coaching and three years probation.
