AUSTIN, TX— The State Executive Committee of the University Interscholastic League issued penalties for violations of UIL rules and decided the eligibility of student athletes on Wednesday.

Edinburg High School coach Rachel Carmona was issued a public reprimand and placed on one-year probation for violation of the Sunday prohibition rule and Section 443 (e) of the UIL Constitution and Contest Rules.

Student-athletes from Corpus Christi Tuloso-Midway High School, Fort Worth North Side High School and Plano West High School will remain ineligible for varsity athletics after the previous rulings from District Executive Committees were upheld. After hearing testimony from all interested parties, it was ruled that the student-athletes changed schools for athletic purposes.

In other action, the following coaches were issued a public reprimand and placed on one-year probation for violation of section 1208(j), ejection from a contest:

  • Lockhart High School coach Glenn Rotzier.
  • El Paso Andress High School coach Rodney Lewis.
  • Kenedy High School coach Lin Havron.
  • Killeen Harker Heights High School coach Jared Cruddas.
  • Spring High School coach Ross Elder.
  • El Paso Armendariz Middle School coach Alberto Montes.
  • Wichita Falls Rider High School coach Carl Wiersema.
  • Aldine Eisenhower High School coach Melbin Barahona.
  • Kaufman High School coach Brian Carter.
  • Pittsburg High School coach Jeremy Tarrant.
  • Fort Worth Western Hills High School coach Victor Garcia.
  • Austin Eastside Memorial High School coach Tommy Reaux.
  • Houston Lamar High School coach Bryan Hayman.
  • Rockwall Heath High School coach Marco Duran.
