AUSTIN, TX — Bands from across the state will compete for top honors at the 2023 UIL State Military Class Marching Band Championships to be held October 24-25, at McLane Stadium on the campus of Baylor University in Waco. This year marks the fourth year the Military Class contest has been sponsored by the UIL as a pilot program.

Schedule:
Tuesday, October 24

9:00 a.m.    3A Preliminaries
1:00 p.m.    5A/6A Preliminaries
6:30 p.m.    3A Finals
8:15 p.m.    5A/6A Finals

Wednesday, October 25

10:00 a.m.  1A/2A Preliminaries
1:00 p.m.    4A Preliminaries
6:30 p.m.    1A/2A Finals
8:15 p.m.    4A Finals

Tickets will be $20 for preliminaries and $20 for finals. ($35-Combined Ticket) Tickets may only be purchased on-site.

Access to a live video feed will be provided through KGAS and will be free to view.

Conference 1A/2A participants include the following high schools: Beckville, Gladewater Union Grove, Harleton, Overton, Price Carlisle, Shelbyville, Timpson.

Conference 3A participants include the following high schools: Buna, Diana New Diana, Diboll, Gladewater, Gladewater Sabine, Hemphill, New Boston, New London West Rusk, Troup, White Oak

Conference 4A participants include the following high schools: Brownsboro, Bullard, Carthage, Center, Gilmer, Hardin-Jefferson, Henderson, Jacksonville, Lindale, Longview Spring Hill, Pittsburg, Tyler Chapel Hill, Van, Vidor.

Conference 5A/6A participants include the following high schools: Cleveland, Crosby, Ennis, Hallsville, Humble Atascocita, Humble Kingwood, Huntsville, Longview, Lufkin, Nacogdoches, Whitehouse
