AUSTIN, TX- The 2006 UIL State Volleyball Championships will be held Thursday-Saturday, November 16-18, at Strahan Coliseum on the campus of Texas State University in San Marcos.

Thursday, Nov. 16
Semifinals
Conference 2A
1 p.m. Poth (41-4) vs. Bushland (28-6)
3 p.m. Jewett Leon (40-4) vs. Big Sandy Harmony (33-4)

Conference 4A
5 p.m. Waco Midway (39-3) vs. Dumas (38-7)
7 p.m. Friendswood (35-6) vs. Cedar Park Vista Ridge (30-7)

Friday, Nov. 17
Semifinals
Conference 1A
9 a.m. Windthorst (39-2) vs. Flatonia (28-12)
11 a.m. Iola (36-3) vs. Collinsville (39-5)

Conference 3A
1 p.m. China Spring (42-1) vs. Canyon (28-9)

Doors will open one hour prior to the first game.

Free parking is available in the lot adjacent to Strahan Coliseum.

Ticket prices are $10 for an adult day pass and $5 for a student day pass. An all tournament ticket (good for all three days) may be purchased for $25 and a two-day tournament ticket is available for $18. There are no advanced ticket sales. Ticket windows will open at noon Thursday.

Interested media outlets planning to cover the UIL State Volleyball Tournament must fax media credential requests on company letterhead to Kim Rogers at (512) 471-6589 by noon Wednesday, November 15. Requests should include the school(s) your media outlet will be covering and the names of each person covering the tournament. Please refer to the UIL Media Policy on the UIL website for media credential guidelines. Credentials may be picked up at the Strahan Coliseum Will Call ticket window no earlier than one hour prior to the first game.
