FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

AUSTIN, TX— The 2017 UIL Track & Field State Meet will be held May 11-13 at Mike A. Myers Stadium on The University of Texas at Austin campus. 

Media Credentials: Interested media outlets planning to cover the UIL Track & Field State Meet must submit an online media credential request by noon Wednesday, May 10.  The Track & Field Media Credential Request form can be found online at: https://www.uiltexas.org/form/media-credentials/request.php?sport=track. Requests should specify which school(s) your media outlet will be covering and list all representatives of your media outlet covering the event. Credentials should be picked up at Gate 31 (east side of Darryl K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium on Robert Dedman Dr.)  Credentials will be available beginning one hour prior to the start of the meet.

Tickets:          STUDENT- $7 per session

         ADULT - $12 per session

         ALL SESSION TICKET - $30

         SATURDAY ONLY TICKET (good for both Sat. sessions) - $20

 

Parking: Traffic on Robert Dedman and Clyde Littlefield will be one way on Friday and Saturday during the UIL Track & Field State Meet. The best way to access garages and lots is via Red River and Robert Dedman. Advanced reserved parking is available to purchase on a first come, first serve basis. 7:00 p.m. Thursday, May 11 – 1st Session: 3,200-Meter Runs – 1A & 5A

8:00 a.m. Friday, May 12 – 2nd Session: Field Events – 1A, 2A, 3A, 4A, 5A, 6A & WC

8:00 a.m. Friday, May 12 – 2nd Session: 3,200-Meter Runs – 2A, 3A 4A & 6A

6:00 p.m. Friday, May 12 – 3rd Session: Track Events – 1A, 5A & WC

8:00 a.m. Saturday, May 13 – 4th Session: Field Events – 2A, 3A, 4A & 6A

12:00 p.m. Saturday, May 13 – 4th Session: Track Events – 2A & 3A

6:00 p.m. Saturday, May 13 – 5th Session: Track Events – 4A & 6A

 

Wheelchair Division: For the fourth time at a UIL Track & Field State Meet, students in wheelchairs will be able to participate in a Wheelchair Division. Students in wheelchairs will compete in pilot events for 100-meter dash, 400-meter dash, and shot put. These events will be non-scoring, and the participants have qualified by submitting a qualifying mark or performance.
