To Kill a Mockingbird removed from Approved Long Plays List
To Kill a Mockingbird, the version by Christopher Sergel, has been removed from the UIL Approved Long Play List. Due to legal issues, Dramatic Publishing is no longer allowed to permit the script to be cut for any reason.
Schools can contact Dramatic Publishing with any questions.
CX Debate
Potential CX Debate topics for 2023-24 advancing to the final ballot are Economic Inequality and Climate Change. Coaches can access details about each of these topic areas and the wording of each resolution at this link:

Since the Missile II no longer has the BBCOR designation, effective immediately, this bat (33" length Stinger Bat Company Missile II aluminum bat) should be considered a non-compliant bat pursuant to NFHS Baseball Rules 1-3-2d and 7-4-1a.

2022 All State Journalism Staff Announced
Students earn acceptance to the All-State Journalism Staff by participating and winning competitions through UIL journalism and ILPC or similar contests. Students who earn 50 points or more earn the distinction of All-State Journalism Staff.

Top 5 CX Debate Resolutions on the Ballot
The National Debate Topic Selection Meeting was held in Kansas City this month and after 13 topic reports were presented and thoroughly discussed by 64 delegates, 5 resolutions were selected to be placed on a national ballot to become next year’s policy debate topic.
