UIL Legislative Council Meeting Results - October 2016
The University Interscholastic League Legislative Council met Sunday and Monday to make decisions on proposed rule changes in UIL academics, athletics, music and policy.

UIL Robotics Pilot State Championships: FIRST Division
The first-ever UIL Robotics State Championship event will take place July 28-30, 2016 at the Austin Convention Center.

This list will be official at 11 a.m. Wednesday, following a 24 hour verification period- all wild card teams advance as state qualifiers.
Conference 6A wild card results will be posted Monday, May 2, 2016.
New Region III-6A Academic Meet Date & Time
The Region III-6A Academic Meet has been rescheduled for Friday and Saturday, April 29-30 and will be held at Cypress Woods High School. The updated schedule and handbook are posted on the UIL website.
Region III-6A Regional Academic Meet Postponed
The Region III Conference 6A Regional Academic Meet scheduled for April 22-23 at Cypress Woods High School has been postponed due to recent flooding in the area and facility availability. The meet will be rescheduled for a date to be determined, and notification of the new date will be provided on the UIL website, Facebook and Twitter pages as soon as possible. The Region III Conference 6A One Act Play competition is NOT affected, and will continue as scheduled on April 23 at San Jacinto College.
All other Academic Regional Meets will continue as schedule.

2016 Capital Conference Online Registration is now Open!
The UIL Capital Conference offers everything a speech coach, theatre director, academic coach or coordinator—high school or elementary, middle or junior high needs to know. It will be held Monday & Tuesday, June 20-21 at AT&T Conference Center and Hotel at The University of Texas at Austin.
New this year to Online Registration
- Pre-conference sessions- Sessions are $10 and will be held Monday, June 20 from 9-11:30 a.m. in the following areas: Academic Coordinators, New Speech Coach, Theatre, Computer Science and Robotics.
- Convenient lunch options- There is a $15 per day lunch option available for pre-purchase only for Monday (day one) and/or Tuesday (day two), including tax and service fees. There will be other options throughout the property but prices and waiting times will vary.
- Registration fees- The fee schedule is $70 by June 1, $85 by June 15 and $100 on-site registration.
- Hotel reservations- Online and phone reservations are being accepted at the AT&T Conference Center for a discounted rate of $185/night for June 19 & 20.
