UIL Cross-Examination Debate Guidebook
Included in the handbook is a chapter devoted to foundations of Cross-Examination debate. This includes a discussion on the nature of policy debate, suggestions for research, as well as an easy to follow breakdown off key arguments in CX debate. Additional chapters include: Case Writing, Speaker Responsibilities, Flowing, the Cross-Examination Questioning Period, Debate Jargon, and an explanation of frequently misunderstood UIL Rules.
This is also the souruce for the current UIL Cross-Examination Debate Rules, Judging Guidelines, Sample Ballots, as well as important information regarding the UIL Tournament Management System. Dr. Rich Edwards of Baylor University, guest contributor, provides a thorough discussion of Internet debate research with recommended links to access online Cross-Examination research for this season's policy debate topic.
