2021 Speech State Meet Information
Speech State Tournament
The 2021 UIL Speech State Meet will be held on Tuesday May 25 & Wednesday May 26. In order to promote safety during the global pandemic, the tournament will be hosted in a virtual format this year rather than a large in-person event that traditionally brings students together from all areas of the state to the University of Texas campus. All events at the tournament will be virtual in format. Students may compete from their school campus or home, whichever provides the most reliable technology and Internet. All rounds will be synchronous (live). We will be using Speechwire.com as the tournament managment system and NSDA Campus/Zoom for video-conferencing. Information and instructions concerning preparing in advance for the competition will be accessible on this speech state tournament webpage. Check it frequently for updates.
